The Ballroom Dance Club is one of CACC's longest standing chartered social clubs. It has been active for twelve years, and boasts 60 members last year. In addition to improving your health and giving you a way to show off at your children's and relatives' weddings, it also provides a fun way for you and your spouse to understand each other better. New dances that we learned and reviewed just last year include Hustle, Salsa, Tangle, Rumba and Waltz.
The Club provides music and space for practices and socials every Friday evening. Also, we invite professionals to teach at least five of the dance lessons. During the winter and spring, the Club has organized outings and parties, open to all CACC members. Last few years' outings include an excursion to dance in Philadelphia, New Jersey, Crystal Ballroom, Continental Ballroom, Dupont Country Club. The Club also organized longer trips in summer to China, Spain & Portugal, Western National Parks, Canadian Rockies, smoky Mountains, NW wine country, etc.
