The Chinese American Community Center (CACC) is holding a three-day Chinese Festival, June 20-22 (Friday – Sunday), at Valley and Little Baltimore Roads, Hockessin, DE. This year’s annual event will revolve around the culture and customs of celebrating four major traditional Chinese festivities – Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), Lantern Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, and Moon Festival. Some of the traditions were originated more than three thousand years ago.
This family fun-packed weekend will feature Chinese Delicacies and Cooking demonstration, Art and Craft exhibitions and demonstrations of Brush Painting & Calligraphy. Cultural performances include the Lion and Dragon Dance, Chinese Opera, Martial Arts, Chinese Music Instruments and Folk Dance, and Palace Fashion Show. There are plenty of children’s activities for the whole family to enjoy. The outdoor Food Court with a wide range of authentic Chinese Food will sure satisfy everyone’s taste bud.
The festival is open to the public and designed to promote cultural awareness and diversity. Admission is free; parking is available for a $5 fee. For more information, please contact:
